United Way of the Yampa Valley does what no single organization can do. We connect and mobilize resources, people, and passion in strategic ways to achieve our goals, positively impact lives, and change the story for thousands of people in Northwest Colorado.

Who is ALICE? And Why Does This Demographic Matter?

Did you know that many hardworking families in the Yampa Valley struggle to afford the basics—housing, childcare, food, and healthcare—despite being employed? These families are ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed), and they play a vital role in keeping our communities running.

Join us for an important discussion on the ALICE Report, where we’ll dive into:

  • How ALICE is calculated (survival budgets, housing costs, and income)
  • Why recognizing this demographic is crucial for our community
  • Studies and resources available to support ALICE families

Understanding ALICE is the first step toward creating solutions. Let’s work together to build a stronger, more resilient Yampa Valley!
